After breakfast, start your exploration of Jeddah with a visit to Al Taybat Museum, one of the most important museums in the city. This multi-storey complex showcases Saudi heritage, traditional costumes, Islamic art, old manuscripts, and architectural styles from different regions of the Kingdom, offering an excellent introduction to local culture and history. Continue to Al Balad, Jeddah’s UNESCO-listed historic district, famous for its centuries-old coral stone houses and wooden “rawashin” balconies. Visit Beit Sallum and Bait Nassif, two iconic heritage houses that once belonged to prominent merchant families and played a key role in Jeddah’s social and political life. Pass through Souk Al Alawi, one of the oldest markets in Saudi Arabia, where locals still trade gold, spices, perfumes, and traditional goods, giving you a glimpse into daily life and commerce as it has existed for generations. Later, visit the Floating Mosque, beautifully positioned over the Red Sea and appearing to float on the water, especially stunning during high tide.
